Assam Congress Seeks Central Forces and CCTV for Safe Vote Counting

The APCC has urged the State Election Commissioner to deploy central security at vulnerable counting centres in Nagaon, Morigaon, Dhubri, Darrang, and Sonitpur ahead of May 11’s Panchayat results. Citing booth-capturing attempts and alleged BJP intimidation, the party also demanded CCTV monitoring and uniform recount protocols, warning of democratic protests if irregularities surface.
