Assam Eyes Participation in World Expo 2025 in Japan

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hinted at the state’s participation in World Expo 2025 in Osaka to showcase its investment potential and cultural heritage. Speaking at a seminar, he emphasized strengthening economic ties with Japan.

Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba highlighted Japan’s efforts to create jobs for Indian youth, particularly from Assam. Assam and Japan recently signed an MoU on education and skill development, including a Japan Language Testing Centre.

With Japan seeking skilled workers, around 50,000 Assamese youth are expected to get job opportunities, enhancing global exposure and bilateral relations.
