Assam Flood Crisis Worsens as Rivers Cross Danger Mark

Assam’s flood situation remains critical with major rivers, including the Brahmaputra and Barak, flowing above danger levels. Over 764 villages and 3,524 hectares of crops are submerged. Heavy rainfall is expected to worsen conditions. Ten lives have been lost so far. Authorities are operating 155 relief camps for over 10,000 displaced people. Infrastructure damage has been reported across multiple districts.
