Assam Government Approves Insurance Coverage for Employees

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the state cabinet has approved a new insurance scheme for government employees. The plan, agreed upon with banks, ensures that in the event of accidental death or permanent disability, the employee’s family will receive ₹1 crore. For partial disability, the amount will be ₹80 lakh. Additionally, ₹10 lakh will be provided in cases of death due to illness. This initiative aims to offer financial security to employees and their families during unforeseen circumstances.
