The Assam state government, in a bid to boost tourism and showcase cultural richness, has announced ambitious plans to promote the Taralangso Festival in Karbi Anglong. Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, inspired by the success of Nagaland’s Hornbill Festival, expressed pride in its popularity and unveiled a dedicated budget of Rs 3 crore to elevate the Taralangso Festival. The aim is to replicate the Hornbill Festival’s success and attract tourists from across the globe, putting the cultural extravaganza of Karbi Anglong on the world map.
