Assam Govt Allows Dual Caste Certificates for Tea Garden Communities

The Assam government introduced dual caste certificates for tea garden workers, tribes, and their descendants. They can now obtain certificates under OBC or MOBC categories. A district committee will review applications, and certificates will be issued via the Sewa Setu Portal. The move aims to empower marginalised tea garden communities.
