Assam Govt Issues Advisory as Heavy Rains Continue

The Assam government has issued a weather advisory, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall till Sept 22. Residents in low-lying and hilly areas have been cautioned about floods and landslides, while commuters are advised to avoid unnecessary travel. IMD forecasts persistent showers with thunderstorms across Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal, and Nagaland. Several districts, including Guwahati, have reported waterlogging and traffic disruption.
