Assam Govt Offers ₹1,000 Book Purchase Incentive for Nalbari Employees

The Assam government announced a ₹1,000 incentive for each government employee in Nalbari who buys books worth ₹1,000 or more at the Nalbari Raas Festival Book Fair. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu launched the initiative under the “Year of Books” campaign to promote reading. Around 8,000 employees are eligible, with expected book sales of ₹80 lakh. The fair, featuring 20 stalls, runs till November 17.
