Assam Govt to Challenge HC Order on APSC Scam in Supreme Court

CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that the Assam government will move the Supreme Court against the Gauhati High Court’s order to reinstate APSC scam-tainted officials who had completed probation. The CM called the order “unfortunate” and vowed to prevent reinstatement of officers appointed through unfair means. The HC’s division bench had overturned their dismissal, directing reappointment within 50 days.
