Assam Govt to Release SIT Report Details on Gaurav Gogoi Case on Feb 8

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the government will make public the “permissible details” of the SIT report probing alleged Pakistan links involving Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on February 8. A cabinet memorandum will be tabled on February 7, followed by a press briefing the next day. Sarma said the SIT found evidence involving Gogoi, his wife Elizabeth Colburn, and Ali Tauqeer Sheikh, and a decision on further investigation by state or central agencies will be taken soon.
