Assam Health Official Arrested for Bribery; ED Probes Karnataka CM in MUDA Scam

Assam’s Directorate of Vigilance arrested Manoj Kumar Ghosh, a Goalpara health official, for accepting a ₹10,000 bribe to update a designation in the FinAssam portal. The arrest followed a trap operation, and a case was filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act. This marks the second recent corruption investigation in Goalpara’s health department.

Meanwhile, the ED provisionally attached ₹300 crore worth of properties in Karnataka’s MUDA scam. CM Siddaramaiah and his wife are named as accused in the case involving illegal land allotments. Investigations continue.
