Assam Holds Civil Defence Drill Amid Rising Tensions with Pakistan

Following MHA orders, a civil defence mock drill was held at the 10th Assam Police Battalion in Kahilipara on Wednesday, just hours after India’s airstrikes on terror sites in Pakistan and PoK. The statewide exercise, part of a national effort across 244 districts, simulated an air-raid scenario to test emergency preparedness. It involved coordination between police, civil defence, fire services, SDRF, health and other departments. Public training sessions were also conducted to raise awareness on safety protocols during emergencies.
