Assam HS First-Year Exams Cancelled After Economics Paper Leak

An hour before the HS first-year Economics exam on Saturday, the question paper was allegedly leaked, following a similar leak of the Mathematics paper two days earlier. The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) conducted the exam as students had reached centers but later cancelled all remaining exams scheduled from March 24-29. Fifteen private institutions in 10 districts violated exam protocols by opening question paper packets early. Their affiliations were suspended, FIRs were ordered, and they are barred from admitting Class XI students for 2025-26. The Board will decide further action on March 24.
