Assam Invested ₹26,409 Crore in Infrastructure in 2024–25: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state government invested ₹26,409 crore in infrastructure development during the 2024–25 financial year.

In a post on X, Sarma said the investment aims to build long-term infrastructure that will support the state’s development for decades.

He highlighted improved connectivity through bridges over the Brahmaputra River, including the Dhola–Sadiya Bridge and Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu. According to the Chief Minister, these projects are reducing travel time, improving connectivity, and boosting trade, tourism, and access to services across Assam.
