Assam Irrigation Minister Reviews Department Projects and Orders Faster Execution

Assam Irrigation Minister Ashok Singhal reviewed the department’s schemes, project progress, and administrative work in a meeting with senior officials in Dispur. He assessed ongoing projects, tender processes, and externally aided schemes, urging more comprehensive reporting.

Singhal directed officials to prepare district-wise irrigation plans with accurate year-round water data and prioritise areas facing severe water shortages. He also asked engineers to compile precise water-use data and speed up pending work.

The Minister reviewed the new “INNO App” and instructed that it be expanded to provide accessible data and integrate functions like tenders, work orders, and transfers.
