Assam Issues Strict Rules for Election Printing Materials

Assam authorities have directed all printers and publishers to follow legal norms for election materials ahead of the 2026 Assembly polls.

As per Section 127A of the Representation of the People Act, all printed campaign materials must include the name and address of the printer and publisher.

The move aims to ensure transparency and prevent misuse, with legal action warned for violations.
