Assam Launches Guru Dakshina Portal for Financial Aid to Venture Teachers

Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has launched the Guru Dakshina Portal to provide one-time financial assistance to eligible teachers of venture educational institutions whose services were not provincialised. The portal was launched by the Government of Assam and became effective on March 15, 2026.

Teachers from venture LP, UP, high schools, higher secondary schools, and degree colleges can apply online. Applications will go through three stages of verification before approval. A ₹300 processing fee is required, and applications must be submitted within the notified timeline.
