Assam Launches Road Development Portal, Unveils Infrastructure and Welfare Initiatives

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma introduced a portal dedicated to addressing road construction and development grievances in villages, aiming to streamline the process and reduce conflicts between villagers and MLAs. Villages with populations over 1000 can expect assured road development as part of state-wide reforms. Additionally, the inauguration of the Basistha-Jalukbari stretch of the Guwahati bypass, solar panel adoption discounts, and a 4 percent hike in dearness allowance for state government employees were also announced. The road portal and infrastructure projects mark a significant step in addressing longstanding road quality issues and enhancing citizen welfare in Assam.
