Assam Leads in NEP with 18 Colleges Approved for 4-Year ITEP

Assam has emerged as a front-runner in NEP implementation, with 18 institutions approved to launch the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). The NCTE has sanctioned 1,500 seats in Assam—21% of the national total. Admissions will be through the National Common Entrance Test conducted by NTA. Notable approved colleges include North Lakhimpur College, Kokrajhar Govt College, and B.N. College, Gauripur.
