Assam on High Alert Following Bomb Threat from ULFA-I

Security forces have intensified their operations across Assam following a bomb threat issued by the banned ULFA-I group. In Guwahati, police have cordoned off key areas like Zoo Road, Ulubari-Rajgarh, and Narengi, with search operations and bomb squads deployed. The threat, which claimed bombs were planted in eight locations, prompted statewide searches. Bomb-like objects have already been found in Sivasagar, Lakhimpur, and Nagaon. The threat was issued as a protest against Independence Day celebrations. The situation is evolving, with more updates awaited.
