Assam Police Arrest Man for Theft of Government Vehicle

The Assam Police apprehended a man on Monday night for stealing a government vehicle belonging to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Sonitpur district. The accused, Shahidul Islam, was arrested by a team led by Officer-in-Charge Bhaskar Jyoti Bezbaruah and Sub-Inspector Rahul Bora based on case number 148/2024. The stolen car was recovered from Dimapur, Nagaland. Bezbaruah stated that the vehicle was stolen on March 24, and the arrest was made on April 1.
