Assam Police Busts Fake Work Order Scam; BJP Leader Among Three Arrested

Assam police busted a fraud network issuing fake government work orders, duping businesses of crores. BJP SC Morcha state secretary Ashim Das, along with Birinchi Borkotoki and Niranjan Das, were arrested.

The group targeted companies by posing as state officials, offering bogus supply contracts. A Noida-based firm, Prontastic IT, lost ₹4 crore in the scam. Investigations are ongoing, and more victims are expected to come forward.
