Assam Police DSP-Prob Birdie Boro Shines at All India Police Meet

Deputy Superintendent of Police serving probation (DSP-Prob) Birdie Boro from Assam Police has brought glory to the state and the department with an outstanding performance at the All India Police Meet in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Representing Assam Police, Boro secured two gold medals in individual events (gazetted posts and open cadre) and two bronze medals in Table Tennis team and doubles events, partnering with Manashjyoti Changmai.

The Assam Police team showcased versatility and competitive spirit across four events, clinching a total of three bronze medals in Sepak Teakraw and excelling in Table Tennis with two gold and two bronze medals. Boro, an international-level Table Tennis player, achieved an impressive rank of 66 in the APSC in 2022 on his first attempt and is currently on probation as a DSP with Assam Police. The All India Police Games featured over 3,000 cops participating in six sporting disciplines over six days in Nagpur.
