Assam Police held 5 drug peddlers in Guwahati city

Basistha Police arrested one Sakibul Islam, hailing from Kalgasia, in the Lokhara area in Guwahati today. The police recovered 15 vials of heroin from his possession.

In another incident, Paltan Bazar Police, with the help of CRPF, arrested four persons from Jonakpur in the Birubari area on the charge of drug peddling. The four are Tumi Begum, Hasina Begum, Kakesh Ram and Habiraj Dey Bora. The police recovered eight grams of brown sugar, 26 empty vials, five tobacco containers, Rs 10,000 cash and one Scooty from them.
