Lakhimpur Police Rescue Kidnapped 12-Year-Old Girl from Arunachal Pradesh

Lakhimpur Police rescued a 12-year-old girl who was kidnapped from Kurung Kumey district of Arunachal Pradesh. The girl, from Bhimpora, was abducted on May 8 while waiting with her grandmother for a vehicle to Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital (LMCH). Two miscreants forcibly took them in a car, claiming to head to LMCH, but instead drove to Arunachal Pradesh. They left the grandmother in Jumi and took the girl.

The grandmother returned with help and reported the kidnapping. After a thorough investigation, police found the girl near Sangram Police Station in Kurung Kumey, where she had been sold for Rs. 1,20,000. The police arrested the kidnappers, who were presented in court and taken into remand. The SP withheld their identities to protect the investigation.
