Assam Police Rescue Three from Forced Labor in Arunachal Pradesh

In a successful rescue operation, two young women and a 55-year-old man from Assam’s Sonitpur district were rescued from a remote village in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday. Acting on specific inputs, a team led by Officer-in-Charge Bhaskar Jyoti Saikia of Itakhola police conducted the operation.

The rescued individuals had been lured to Arunachal Pradesh under the pretense of job offers but were instead forced into domestic labor and subjected to torture by their owners. The rescue has brought immense relief to their families, who had been living in fear.
