Assam Police STF Members Honored with National Award for Excellence

Four members of the Assam Police Special Task Force (STF), including IGP Partha Sarathi Mahanta, received the ‘Kendriya Grihamantri Dakshata Padak’ from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for their exceptional work in tackling serious criminal issues from March 21, 2023, to March 20, 2024. The awardees include Additional SP Kalyan Kumar Pathak, Lance Naik Emanta Kachari, and UB Constable Rajkumar Kaibartta. Under Mahanta’s leadership, the STF successfully disrupted major drug networks, seized illegal narcotics, and curtailed Rohingya infiltration. Additionally, ASP Subrata Kumar Sen and Inspector Amrit Kumar Singha were recognized for their effective investigation into the murder of Jharna Panda, solving the case within 48 hours. The Assam DGP praised the officers for their commitment to public safety.
