AAP Gears Up for Assam Panchayat Polls, Focuses on Expansion

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is strengthening its base in Assam ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections. Rajesh Sharma, AAP’s northeastern in-charge, said the party is focused on expanding its organization and increasing its membership, especially in rural areas.

AAP plans to contest the panchayat polls independently but will decide on alliances for the 2026 Assembly elections later. Sharma highlighted the party’s goal to connect with the electorate and build a strong foundation across the state.
