Assam Police to File Charge Sheet in ULFA-I Bomb-Planting Case

The Assam Police is preparing a strong charge sheet against individuals arrested in the ULFA-I bomb-planting case on Independence Day. Director General of Police GP Singh stated that they have solid technical evidence and confessions linking most suspects to the banned group as over-ground workers or linkmen. The arrested individuals were involved in procuring and planting explosives. The NIA recently arrested mastermind Girish Bora from Bengaluru, while Assam Police had earlier detained 15 others statewide. ULFA-I had claimed responsibility for planting bombs at over 20 locations across Assam.
