Assam Reviews Watershed Projects Worth Rs 371 Crore Under PMKSY

A State Level Steering Committee meeting reviewed the progress of 38 watershed projects in Assam under the Watershed Development Component of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana with a total outlay of Rs 371.36 crore. Officials said 74% of the funds have already been utilised and over 1.7 lakh farmers have benefited from the programme.
The committee also approved the 2026–27 Annual Action Plan worth over Rs 102 crore, focusing on sustainable agriculture, water conservation, livelihood generation and climate-resilient farming across the state.
