Assam Secretariat Enforces Strict Attendance Rules

The General Administration Department (GAD) has directed all Assam Secretariat staff to arrive between 9:30 am and 9:45 am, using the Face Recognition Attention System (FRAS) for attendance. This measure addresses late arrivals that disrupted official work. Habitual latecomers will be reported monthly, with disciplinary action including casual leave deductions for repeated tardiness. Employees who consistently adhere to the schedule will be recognized as ‘Man of the Month’ or ‘Woman of the Month’ and may receive appreciation letters from the Chief Secretary.
