Parents Arrested for Allegedly Torturing Three-Year-Old Child in Cachar

In a shocking incident, Cachar police have arrested the parents of a three-year-old child for allegedly torturing their child. An initial investigation revealed that the mother reportedly poured hot oil or used a hot utensil on the child for relentless crying. The injured child was rescued by district child welfare officers.

The parents face charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act 2015. The child is currently receiving treatment at Silchar Medical College and Hospital, and an investigation is ongoing.
