Assam Sets Tight Security for HSLC and HS Exams 2026

With over 7.6 lakh students set to appear in the HSLC and Higher Secondary final examinations, the Assam government and ASSEB have rolled out strict security and monitoring measures to prevent malpractice. The HSLC exams will be held from February 10 to 27 across 1,046 centres, while HS exams will run from February 11 to March 16 in 821 centres. Flying squads, enhanced surveillance at sensitive centres, mandatory frisking, and strict restrictions on mobile phones have been enforced. Authorities said the measures aim to ensure smooth, fair, and transparent conduct of the examinations.
