Assam Showcases 200 Years of Tea at New York Food Show

Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota inaugurated the India Pavilion at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2025 in New York, marking 200 years of Assam Tea. He highlighted Assam’s vision for global partnerships in AI, blockchain, and tea innovation. Start-ups like Aromica, Woolah, Dorei, and Earth Tea were featured. Kota emphasized the role of small growers, the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre, and Assam’s USD 285 million tea exports to 90+ countries. A US-wide “Heritage to Wellness” Tea Showcase is also planned.
