Assam State Legal Services Authority Achieves Success in National Lok Adalat, Disposes of Over 46,000 Cases

In accordance with the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) mandate, the Assam State Legal Services Authority (ASLSA) successfully organized the National Lok Adalat on Saturday. The event witnessed the disposal of a significant number of cases, including NI Act cases, bank recovery cases, electricity bills, matrimonial disputes, MACT cases, MV Act, and other civil and criminal compoundable cases. A total of 46,453 cases were resolved during the National Lok Adalat, leading to the recovery of Rs 142,89,80,995, according to a press release. The initiative reflects the commitment of the legal authorities in addressing a diverse range of legal matters and providing swift resolutions through alternative dispute mechanisms.
