Government Railway Police Make Substantial Heroin Seizures in Guwahati

The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Guwahati have achieved notable success in the ongoing battle against drug-related crimes. In separate incidents, vigilant checks led to significant heroin seizures.

In the early hours, authorities conducted inspections on Train No. 22502 DN, the SMVT Bengaluru Express, at Guwahati Railway Station. They discovered 21 packets of suspected heroin, weighing 264 grams, concealed within soap cases in the general coach.

Simultaneously, during routine checks at Kamakhya Railway Station, GRP apprehended Wahidur Rahman from Thoubal District, Manipur. Rahman was found with two packets of suspected heroin weighing a total of 27 grams. These seizures reflect the diligent efforts of the GRP in combating drug-related crimes.
