Assam STF Seizes 30,000 Yaba Tablets Worth ₹7.5 Crore in Amingaon

Amingaon: Assam’s Special Task Force (STF) arrested a suspected drug courier and seized 30,000 Yaba tablets worth an estimated ₹7.5 crore during an intelligence-led operation in Amingaon. The consignment was reportedly being transported towards Lower Assam when the operation was carried out on Saturday night.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the seizure in a post on X, highlighting the state’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking. The operation forms part of the government’s broader campaign against narcotics under the Nasha Mukt Bharat and Assam Against Drugs initiatives.
