Assam Teachers Trained by Samagra Shiksha and UNICEF on Child Safety

Samagra Shiksha, Assam, in partnership with UNICEF-Assam, conducted a comprehensive training program on Safe Touch and Unsafe Touch, addressing child sexual abuse. The program aimed to empower teachers as Master Trainers, with 287 participants from all 33 districts of Assam.

The two-day training, held in two phases, featured sessions facilitated by experts from Rati Foundation, Mumbai, and Independent Thought, New Delhi. This initiative is a significant stride towards creating a safer educational environment for children in Assam.

The trained Master Trainers will disseminate their knowledge to Nodal Teachers at district and block levels, who will further educate children on Safe Touch, Unsafe Touch, and child sexual abuse prevention, along with available redressal mechanisms.
