Assam to Bhutan Rail Link Finalized by Indian Railways

Indian Railways has completed the Detailed Project Report for a 69.04 km railway line from Kokrajhar (Assam) to Gelephu (Bhutan). The ₹3,500 crore project includes six stations and extensive infrastructure. It aims to boost India-Bhutan trade, tourism, and connectivity, aligning with India’s ‘Act East’ and ‘Neighbourhood First’ policies.
