Assam to Get Gauhati High Court Benches in Dibrugarh and Barak Valley

Guwahati: Assam Law Minister Susanta Borgohain announced in the Assembly that benches of the Gauhati High Court will be established in Dibrugarh and Barak Valley to improve access to justice.

The proposed benches are expected to reduce travel time and litigation costs for people in Upper Assam and Barak Valley while strengthening judicial services. However, the government has not yet announced a timeline for the project.
