Assam to Present Report on ST Status for Six Communities in November

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced that the Assam government will present its report on granting ST status to six communities — Koch Rajbongshi, Tai Ahom, Chutia, Matak, Moran, and Tea Tribes — during the November Assembly session. He said the process is complex but assured a fair and balanced review before any decision.
