Assam Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Team Arrests Officials in Bribery Case

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption team in Assam arrested Swapna Medhi, a Lot Mandal and Circle Officer of Guwahati Revenue Circle, Kamrup (M), on Thursday for demanding and accepting a bribe. Medhi was caught in conspiracy with a middleman, identified as Mahfujur Rahman, who was apprehended red-handed while accepting the bribe from a complainant for Namjari-related work. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
