Astha Express Embarks on Special Pilgrimage to Ayodhya Ram Mandir

In a significant initiative, the Tinsukia division of NF railway has launched a special passenger train named ‘Astha,’ comprised of 24 wagons with a capacity of 72 passengers each. Departing from Murkongselek Station in the easternmost Dhemaji district, the train aims to facilitate devotees from the region to visit the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The one-time to-and-fro journey is expected to reach Katra station near Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning. The special train, flagged off at 9:00 am, includes approximately 430 pilgrims, with a simple ceremony held at Murkongselek station to mark the commencement of the journey. Notable attendees at the ceremony included Dhemaji district BJP president Rupa Kaman and other dignitaries.
