Atul Bora and Keshab Mahanta Re-elected to Lead AGP, Emphasizing Renewed Vision

Assam cabinet ministers Atul Bora and Keshab Mahanta have been unanimously re-elected as president and working president of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), a key partner in the BJP-led coalition government in the state. The decision was announced during the party’s central committee meeting, where Bora expressed gratitude to party workers and stressed the need for the regional party to evolve in line with changing times.

Bora highlighted the upcoming Lok Sabha election and subsequent panchayat polls as crucial opportunities to expand the party’s base. Keshab Mahanta, in a post, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the state through AGP and outlined a commitment to move the party forward with new aspirations.

Congratulating Bora and Mahanta on their third-term election, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed confidence that under the new leadership team, AGP, a valued partner of the National Democratic Alliance, would continue to play a key role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed Assam.
