APCC Working President Appears for Questioning in Route Violation Case Linked to Rahul Gandhi’s Yatra

Rana Goswami, the working president of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), appeared before the investigating officer at Jorhat Police Station in connection with a case registered last month. The case pertains to the alleged violation of the permitted route and disruptions caused during Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on January 18. Goswami was questioned for about three hours regarding the diversion of the Yatra route. He expressed cooperation with the police, calling the route change unfortunate. The case, involving APCC president Bhupen Kumar Borah and others, revolves around charges of deviating from the permitted route, leading to a war of words between Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
