Barpeta District Boosts Aadhaar Enrollment for Students

The Aadhaar enrollment drive for students in Assam’s Barpeta district is gaining momentum, led by District Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha, IAS. Since August 2024, the administration has held enrollment camps in 158 schools, updating 21,413 Aadhaar records and processing 2,284 new enrollments.

Special camps and mobile units have been deployed to reach remote areas, ensuring inclusive access. The initiative aims to help students access scholarships and register for national exams like NEET, JEE, and CUET.
