Biswanath Residents Alarmed as Roadside Trees Wither Near Medical College Site

Over a dozen mature trees along the Kadamoni–Biswanath Ghat road have dried up, with locals blaming waste dumping and excavation during pipeline work for the upcoming Biswanath Medical College. Residents say construction waste damaged the soil and roots, causing the trees to wither. Environmental groups have condemned the incident and demanded an investigation. The construction agency has promised to plant 300 saplings, but activists argue this cannot replace decades-old trees.
