BJP Assam to Hold ‘Mahila Akrosh’ Protest on April 23

The Bharatiya Janata Party in Assam has announced a statewide “Mahila Akrosh” protest on April 23 to campaign on women’s empowerment issues.

State president Dilip Saikia reviewed preparations, with senior leaders tasked to lead demonstrations across districts. The party aims for large-scale participation at all levels.

BJP leaders accused the Indian National Congress of opposing women-centric policies, including the proposed Nari Bandhan Bill, and said the protest will highlight their commitment to women’s welfare.
