BJP Assam to Raise ₹12 Crore for Flood Victims’ Clothing

Guwahati: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday announced that the Assam BJP will raise ₹12 crore to provide clothing to nearly four lakh flood-affected people across the state. The initiative aims to distribute Mekhela Sadors to two lakh women and clothes to two lakh children through donations from BJP workers and supporters. Meanwhile, the flood situation has improved, though over 6.5 lakh people remain affected and the death toll has risen to 66.
