BJP Gears Up for Assam Polls: Special Committee Formed to Select Candidates Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has established a special committee comprised of 12 conveners and 12 co-conveners. This committee’s primary task is to identify and select potential candidates to contest in 12 Lok Sabha seats in Assam. The committee is set to submit its report on Tuesday. Subsequently, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita are scheduled to visit New Delhi on February 28 to present the list of probable candidates for the forthcoming elections.
